On Tuesday 22 February 2011, a magnitude 6.3 earthquake caused severe damage in Christchurch and Lyttelton, killing 185 people and injuring several thousand. My brother-in-law, Ross Sadgrove, led over a hundred guests of the prestigious Hotel Grand Chancellor, via surviving stairwells and corridors, to safety.
It's taken me over 6 years to address the emotional trauma of this event,
