At 12.51 p.m. on Tuesday 22 February 2011, a magnitude 6.3 earthquake caused severe damage in Christchurch and Lyttelton, killing 185 people and injuring several thousand. Five months earlier, in September, there was an earthquake that destroyed many of the Edwardian buildings in the city. My two sons and a fiancee survived, but their brick built apartment was destroyed.
It's taken me over 6 years to address the emotional trauma of this event,
